The widening gap in production plan and order book numbers of its newly developed speed sensors was worrying the client’s team. Improving the productivity of potting was identified as a key thrust area, as the team set out to find the solution to its challenge. Further, proven quality and assurance of success was critical to the client, as speed sensors was a relatively new line for its production. Interactions with Twin’s team helped the client to understand its long-standing expertise in automating potting, proven technology and strong local implementation support.

Twin’s R&D team worked closely with the client’s production and quality departments to understand their goals. Together, the teams selected Twin’s MMD system owing to its proven performance and ease of operation.
Twin’s team suggested and designed a single axis LM Guideway which would enable potting of several sensors in one go. The machine along with automation meant the client could significantly improve the productivity, ensure consistent and quality production, throughout the shift.
